Dimond JROTC's 25th Anniversary

September 1 st, 2009 marks the 25 th anniversary of the Dimond JROTC program. The entire Dimond family takes great pride in our cadets and their contributions to our school and community. Each year the instructors mentor the cadets as they strive to develop self discipline, patriotism, respect, courtesy and leadership skills. Academic achievement, physical fitness, teamwork, and military drill and ceremony are cornerstones of the program. We emphasize effort, discipline and sportsmanship as we participate in the various Alaska JROTC competitions and activities, and excellence is universally recognized in our program. Earning the rating of Honor Unit with Distinction is the highest status an Army JROTC unit can receive, and Dimond has earned this distinction for 23 out of its 25 years in existence.
